CCIYU Tonneau Cover Installation Kit
Our universal installation kit provides every mounting component you need to securely attach CCIYU tri-fold and roll-up tonneau covers to your truck bed. Each kit includes high-tensile aluminum clamps, stainless steel hardware, rubber weatherstripping, and adjustable side rails engineered for precise fitment on most full-size pickups.
We designed this system to simplify installation while delivering the rugged durability CCIYU owners expect. The pre-drilled clamp brackets align perfectly with factory stake pockets, eliminating guesswork and the need for drilling into your truck bed rails.
- 8 powder-coated aluminum clamps rated for 150 lb load capacity
- Stainless steel mounting hardware (bolts, washers, nuts) for corrosion resistance
- EPDM rubber weatherstripping with adhesive backing for watertight seal
- Two 8-foot adjustable aluminum side rails with pre-drilled holes at 2-inch intervals
- Compatible with CCIYU tri-fold and roll-up tonneau models from 2015–present
Materials & Construction Quality

We manufacture every component in this kit from materials chosen for long-term outdoor exposure. The clamp bodies use powder-coated 6061-T6 aluminum alloy, which resists salt spray and UV degradation far better than zinc-plated steel alternatives common in budget kits.
Stainless steel 304 hardware throughout the assembly prevents rust streaks on your paint and ensures threads remain serviceable after years of weather cycling. The EPDM weatherstripping maintains flexibility in temperatures from -40°F to 140°F, creating a consistent seal that prevents water intrusion along the bed rail interface where most leaks occur.
Compatibility & Truck Bed Fitment

This installation kit works with CCIYU tri-fold hard covers, tri-fold soft covers, and roll-up vinyl tonneau models manufactured from 2015 forward. The adjustable side rail system accommodates bed widths from 50 inches to 71 inches without modification.
Bed Length Coverage
We include two 8-foot rails that you trim to exact length for 5.5-foot, 6.5-foot, and 8-foot beds. Mark your cut line with the provided template, then use a hacksaw or miter saw with a carbide blade for clean edges. The kit fits Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Ram 1500, GMC Sierra, Toyota Tundra, and Nissan Titan models with standard stake pocket spacing.
Installation Process & Tools Required

You can complete installation in your driveway with basic hand tools: 10 mm socket wrench, tape measure, hacksaw or miter saw, marker, and level. Our photo-illustrated guide walks through each step with torque specifications and alignment checkpoints.
Start by measuring your exact bed length from the inside of the bulkhead to the inside of the tailgate. Cut both side rails 1/4 inch shorter than this measurement to allow for weatherstripping compression. Position the rails flush with the bed top edge, then insert clamps into the stake pockets at 18–24 inch intervals.

Common Questions About CCIYU Tonneau Parts Installation
Yes, our installation kit uses a universal clamp-and-rail design that fits most aftermarket tri-fold and roll-up tonneau covers with similar mounting systems. Verify that your cover requires side rail mounting (not track or clamp-on styles) and uses standard stake pocket clamps. If your existing cover came with proprietary hardware, check the manufacturer’s compatibility notes before ordering.
The adjustable rail system accommodates most bed widths, but covers designed exclusively for track-mount or adhesive installation won’t interface correctly with these cciyu tonneau parts.
No drilling is required. Our clamp system secures exclusively to factory stake pockets already built into your truck bed rails. Each clamp slides into the pocket opening and tightens with a bolt that pulls the clamp body against the underside of the bed rail.
This no-drill design preserves your truck’s resale value and prevents potential rust issues from exposed metal edges. If your truck bed does not have stake pockets (rare on modern pickups), this kit will not work without custom modification.
Measure the inside of your truck bed from the bulkhead (front wall behind the cab) to the inside face of the closed tailgate. Subtract 1/4 inch from this measurement to allow room for weatherstripping compression. Mark both rails at this length and cut with a hacksaw or miter saw.
Our included template provides cut marks for common bed lengths (66 inches for 5.5-foot beds, 78 inches for 6.5-foot beds, 96 inches for 8-foot beds), but always measure your specific truck for best fit. The rails are solid aluminum, so any fine-tooth blade will produce clean cuts.
Yes, the rail and clamp system remains attached to your truck bed and works with any replacement tonneau cover that uses side rail mounting. When you upgrade covers, simply remove the old cover frame from the installed rails and mount the new cover frame onto the same rails.
The cciyu tonneau parts in this kit typically outlast multiple tonneau covers, so you’ll likely replace weatherstripping before needing new clamps or rails. Keep the original hardware bag if you ever need to adjust clamp positions for a different cover style.
You’ll need a 10 mm socket wrench or combination wrench, a tape measure, a hacksaw or miter saw with a fine-tooth blade, a permanent marker for marking cut lines, and a level for checking rail alignment. A cordless drill is optional but speeds up bolt tightening if you have a socket adapter.
The entire installation requires no specialty tools. Most truck owners already have these items in a basic tool kit. Allow 30–45 minutes for your first installation, including rail cutting and clamp positioning.
Inspect clamp tightness every six months or after any extended off-road use. Road vibration can gradually loosen bolts, though our Nylok-patched nuts provide significant resistance to loosening.
During inspection, verify that each clamp bolt is snug at 15 ft-lb (you’ll feel slight resistance when turning the wrench about 15 degrees past finger-tight). If you frequently remove and reinstall your tonneau cover for hauling tall cargo, check tension monthly to ensure the rails remain secure.
Yes, our clamps work with drop-in plastic bed liners and spray-in bedliners. The clamp design grips the stake pockets from underneath the bed rail, not from the bed floor, so liner thickness doesn’t affect installation.
If you have a thick drop-in liner (over 1/4 inch wall thickness), verify that the liner doesn’t cover or block your stake pocket openings. Some aftermarket liners require trimming around stake pockets for accessory compatibility. Our rails sit on top of the bed rail edge, above the liner, so vertical clearance is not an issue.
